OUTSOUND V.1 is the first in what is to become a yearly experimental
music and video festival. This year’s focus is electronics and
abstraction, featuring both local and out-of-town artists. The
festival is a unique collaboration of programming between the
Indianapolis Museum of Art and Big Car’s newly opened Service Center
in Lafayette Square.

Musically the festival runs the gamut from orchestrally-infused
glitch-hop, to Latin abstract-expressionism, to ambient and video game
influenced electronics, and to digital blast crunk. Visually, the
videos primarily discard narrative for aesthetic exploration and when
exploring narrative tend to focus on themes of space and displacement.
And all of it with a healthy dose of color, strangeness and good
times. It is like very unlike any other festival ever hosted here in
Indianapolis or elsewhere for that matter and is sure to be an
challenging, inspiring and rewarding experience.

e. Brown here I wanted to tell you about my project Glitch Clique.

Glitch Clique was my first post MAB LAB project starting in 05.  This was recorded during late 05 and early 06.. This is part of the the glitch clique album Manifesto which is available online. I’m now reintroducing it as a free lossless .WAV download.  I’ve split it up into 2 parts because it was always my intention to present it as a double ep.  Part 1 is our reaction to our personnal and collective experience in post 911 america during the Bush Years.  Please give it a listen, download, share, and comment.  I’m proud of this work

Our 1st in a series of digital compilations has finally been unveiled! This one is dedicated to the late author Jerome David Salinger who is best known for his 1951 novel, “the Catcher in the Rye” and for his reclusive nature. The title of this album is an excerpt from “Franny and Zooey” a short story written by Salinger and published in 1961. The music herein is a sonic nod to this extremely talented writer who was famous for not wanting to be famous. Salinger was a reclusive writer who let his art speak for its self.
